What is a bracket pivot shaft?

First, let us define what a shaft is: a shaft is an axle that connects the main components of a product and, during rotational operation, simultaneously withstands both bending moments and torsional loads.

Process performance requirements that mold material selection must meet

The manufacturing of molds typically involves several processes, including forging, machining, and heat treatment. To ensure mold quality and reduce production costs, the materials used should exhibit good forgeability, machinability, hardenability, through‑hardening capability, and grindability; they should also demonstrate low susceptibility to oxidation and decarburization, as well as a reduced tendency toward quenching‑induced distortion and cracking. 1. Hardenability Hardenability is a material property characterized by the depth of the hardened layer and the hardness distribution achieved in a test specimen under specified conditions. It primarily depends on the critical quenching cooling rate of the material.
